These beautiful hand made braided sweetgrass brooches are made of sweetgrass that is picked on the largest freshwater island in the world, Manitoulin Island, home of the "Great Spirit". The sweetgrass is braided first, then decorated with the ribbons, which are hand sewn on, and a safety pin is then added to the back as the clasp. Traditional 4 colors represent the 4 Sacred Directions (North, South, Wast, West) , Colors of your choice may also be available for bulk orders...this item is great for conferences, gatherings etc.
